A. 89 B. 91 C. 94 D. 96 Answer: Option CShow Answer
Solution(By Apex Team)
Let the highest marks obtained by the student be x
Then, second highest marks = x – 2
Sum of marks of these 2 subjects
$\begin{array}{l}\text{= (87 × 8) – (85 × 6)}\\
\text{= 696 – 510}\\
\text{= 186}\\
\text{∴ x + (x – 2) = 186}\\
\text{⇒ 2x = 188}\\
\text{⇒ x = 94}\end{array}$
